Wisconsin Sea Grant’s emerging contaminants scientist Gavin Dehnert is working with the Voigt Intertribal Task Force on a three-year project to test for PFAS in the ceded territories of Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota.

The project will test northern lakes for PFAS, determine if PFAS is moving from water into harvestable goods, and assess the health impacts of PFAS exposure via studying tree swallows.
